Oh NO! My Neighbors Are Selling Their WNY Home! What Will My New Neighbors Be Like?

I pose this question because many people moves into a neighborhood and live there for a while and fall in love with their neighbors and then one day you look out the window and you see that threaded for sale sign and you say oh no John and Susan are moving, they were such good neighbors what kind of neighbors are we going to get now?
Well if this is something that keeps you up at night you are not alone plenty of our WNY Homeowners feel the same.
You’re questioning what will they be like, Will they be nice ,are they going to keep up the lawn or what if they don’t care if the lawn is cut or not, And if they’re going to bring the neighborhood down these are all good questions. So what do you do about it?

Lead by Example
What kind of neighbor are you? Do you keep up your neighborhood and do you care about your neighbors? We have to lead by example and what do I mean by that? Well the short answer is we have to show our new neighbors how much we care about our neighborhood by keeping up our lawns and caring about our neighbors.
Chances are the new neighbors that are moving in chose your neighborhood because your neighbors lead by example already.
So now that we lead by example perhaps we should think about our new neighbors and how we’re going to help them with this all so important move! That they just made into our loving neighborhood.

We have to remember that Moving to a new neighborhood may be difficult for both adults and children as everything around them is new and different. It may be hard to get adjusted to a new neighborhood right away.
So how can we get them to adjust quickly? Well I must say when I moved to my new neighborhood 7 years ago!  I’m sure my neighbors had their concerns also but quickly my neighbor who lived across the street from me, him and his wife bought our family cookies and flowers from their garden and I remember felling welcomed right away and in turn my wife and I returned the favor to them and some of our other neighbors.
My neighbor lid by example and now we all live in a beautiful neighborhood were keeping up the lawn and just plain old helping people are expected. So the question is what can we do to help our new neighbors feel comfortable while moving into our neighborhood?
Remember when your new neighbor first move into the neighborhood, walk around and introduce yourself to your new neighbor and immediately establish a neighbor ship that will make everyone feel comfortable. Perhaps take them some cookies or plants from your garden or maybe talk about how nice the schools are in your WNY neighborhood if they have children. Whatever you do just make sure that you’re doing your neighborly duty.

If you have any suggestion on how we can welcome new neighbors into our WNY neighborhoods or any neighborhoods please feel free to leave an answer or question in the discussion box at the bottom of the page
